• When the TiVo's internal temperature reaches a certain level, it shuts down and displays the above message

To reduce the temperature of the TiVo, perform one or more of the following steps

• Ensure the TiVo's vents are not obstructed, and that there is clearance on all four sides
   
• If the room's temperature exceeds 95°F, try to keep the room cooler, or move the TiVo to a cooler location
   
• If the TiVo is installed above equipment that gives off a lot of heat, try relocating the TiVo or other equipment
   
• Then, restart the TiVo
