- Select the Cortana Circle to the right of the Windows icon
- Type cmd in the box and select Command Prompt to open the application
- Type IPconfig in the command prompt and press the Enter key
- The IP address is listed as IPv4 Address

- Click the Apple pull down menu
- Click System Preferences, then click the Network icon
- In the Network window, highlight Built-in Ethernet or Airport
- Click the Configure button
- The IP address appears in the TCP/IP tab, which is loaded by default
