TV on the Wrong Input

If your TV went to the wrong input channel when you turned it back on:
- Some converters have an additional electrical plug for your TV or other device
- Setting it to the wrong mode could cause this to happen

- Press Menu twice
- Select Settings (usually on second screen)
- Select Cable Box Setup
- In the AC Outlet area, change the setting to:
- Unswitched: outlet stays on when the converter turns off; recommended for newer TVs
- Switched: outlet cuts power to the TV when the converter turns off
- Note: when turned back on, the TV may default to another input channel or volume level

DVR outlets cannot be switched off; they always remain on
- Press the MENU key twice to reach the General Settings page
- Scroll down to Accessories and press Select
- Choose AC Outlet Use, and press OK
- The AC Outlet field should be set to:
- Always Off - No power to this outlet (safety reasons)
- Always On - when you do not want the TV power to shut off when the converter turns off - recommended for newer TV's
- On with Set top - when you want the TV power cut when the converter turns off
- Press OK on your remote to lock in your change
- Turn off the converter, and turn it back on. The TV should now turn off independently from the box

- Press MENU twice to reach General Settings
- Select Accessories, then AC Outlet Use
- Set the AC Outlet field to:
- Always Off : no power to this outlet
- Always On: TV power stays on off when the converter turns off; recommended for newer TVs
- On with Set Top: TV power is off with the converter
- Press OK / Sel on the remote to confirm the setting
- Note: when turned back on, the TV may default to another input channel or volume level
