Press [OK], then [MUTE] together - hold both buttons down until the mode (power) buttons start blinking in sequence like below:
Try code 001, 002, or 003 until the converter turns off
Press [MUTE]
If your CABLE converter turns back on, press [OK] to lock in the code
The mode (power) buttons will blink 3 times and go out
If your CABLE converter does not turn back on, repeat steps 3 and 4 until you can turn your CABLE converter off and on
Write your CABLE brand & setup code down for future reference
Programming Other Devices
Turn on your device
Press [OK], then [MUTE] together - hold both buttons down until the mode (power) buttons start blinking in sequence:
From the Setup Code list below, locate and enter the 3-digit code for your brand. If multiple codes are listed, you may have to enter several 3-digit codes until your device turns off
If you cannot find your code, you can use Point and Press Programming
Press [MUTE]
If your device turns back on, press [OK] to lock in the code
The mode (power) buttons will blink 3 times and go out
Use your device key (AUDIO, DVD, VCR, TV) to power the device back on If your device does not turn back on, repeat steps using a different setup code
Try specific commands for your device, like:
TV - [VOL UP], [VOL DOWN] and [MUTE]
VCR - Put a tape in and try [PLAY], [REWIND] and [FFWD]
DVD Player - Put a DVD in and try [PLAY], [Pause] and [FFWD]
Audio Device - [VOL UP], [VOL DOWN] and [MUTE]
If your device does not work for specific commands, repeat steps using a different setup code

Point and Press Programming
Turn on your device
Press [OK], then [MUTE] together - hold both buttons down until the mode (power) buttons start blinking in sequence:
Press and hold the [CH +] button until the TV turns off
Every time the buttons light in a sequence, the remote is trying a different code. It may take seconds or several minutes for the remote to find the proper code for your device
Please be patient, and be ready to release the [CH +] button when the device turns off
Press [MUTE]
If your TV turns back on, press [OK] to lock in the code. The mode (power) buttons will blink 3 times and go out
If your TV does not run back on, try pressing [CH -] one step at a time until that device turns back on. Each time you press the [CH -] button, the power/mode buttons will start blinking in reverse sequence:
Once you have found the proper code, press [OK] to lock in the code
Try specific commands for your device, like:
TV - [VOL UP], [VOL DOWN] and [MUTE]

Code Number Readback
To identify the 3-digit setup code for your device, follow these steps:
Press [device key], then [OK] - hold both down until the [device key] button lights up under finger
Press [INFO]. The illuminated button will “blink back” the code number, with a 1-second interval between each digit of the code
The remote will display the number "0" as the mode buttons ALL quickly flash a few times (CBL, TV, VCR, DVD, AUDIO)
Example: TV Code is 3-0-1

Programming Volume Control
By default, your volume/mute is controlled through your TV unless you are controlling an audio device
To control volume/mute through your converter in the remote's CABLE mode
Press [SEL/OK], then [CBL] together - hold both down until the [CBL] button lights up (under your finger)
Press [VOL ], then [CBL]
The [CBL] button will blink and go out.
To control volume/mute back through your TV in the remote's CABLE mode
Press [SEL/OK], then [CBL] together - hold both down until the [CBL] button lights up (under your finger)
Press [VOL ], then [TV]
The [TV] button will blink and go out
Installing / Replacing Batteries
Install two (2) "AA" batteries as indicated by the diagram in the battery compartment. Be careful to properly match the "+ / -" ends of the batteries with the diagram in the battery compartment.
When the batteries become too weak to operate the remote control properly, the mode keys will become dim or not illuminate at all during use. When this happens, install 2 new "AA" size batteries.
Your remote control has Memory Guard®, which eliminates reprogramming after battery changes.
General Reset
The remote can be reset to its factory default settings if needed
Press [OK], then [CBL] together until the [CBL] button lights up (under your finger)
Press [1]
The [CBL] button will blink 3 times and go out. All codes will now be cleared. Start programming your remote over again, as needed
