Programming Your Cable Converter

  1. Turn on your CABLE converter

  2. Press [OK], then [MUTE] together - hold both buttons down until the [TV] and [CBL] (power) buttons illuminate together
     
  3. Press 0-0-0-2 for your Motorola Box

  4. Press [OK] to lock in the code. The [TV] and [CBL] (power) buttons will blink 3 times and go out.
 

Programming Your TV

  1. Turn on your TV

  2. Press [OK], then [MUTE] together - hold both buttons down until the [TV] and [CBL] (power) buttons illuminate together

  3. From the Setup Code list below, locate and enter the 4-digit code for your brand and model

    If you cannot find your code, you can use Point and Press Programming

    • Every time you input a code, the [TV] and [CBL] (power) buttons will blink twice and stay on

    • If the TV turns off, continue to the next step

    • If not, keep entering the 4-digit codes until the converter turns off, then continue to the next step

  4. Press [MUTE]
     
    • If your TV turns back on, press [OK] to lock in the code. The [TV] and [CBL] (power) buttons will blink 3 times and go out

    • If your TV does not turn back on, repeat steps 3 and 4 until you can turn your TV off and on<

  5. Try the [VOL UP], [VOL DOWN] and [MUTE] buttons to make sure the proper code for this model was locked in

  6. If [VOL UP], [VOL DOWN] and/or [MUTE] do not work, repeat steps 1-4 using a different setup code

  7. Write your TV brand & setup code for future reference

Programming TV with Point and Press Programming

To program (setup) the remote to operate your TV:

 

  1. Turn on your TV
     
  2. Press [OK], then [MUTE] together - hold both buttons down until the [TV] and [CBL] (power) buttons illuminate together
     
  3. Press and hold the [CH +] button until the TV turns off. Every time the [TV] and [CBL] (power) buttons blink once, the remote is trying a different code
     
  4. It may take seconds or several minutes for the remote to find the proper code for your device. Be patient, and be ready to release the [CH +] button when the device turns off
     
  5. As soon as the TV turns off, proceed to the next step
     
  6. Press [MUTE]
     
    • If your TV turns back on, press [OK] to lock in the code. The mode (power) buttons will blink 3 times and go out
       
    • If your TV does not run back on, try pressing [CH -] one step at a time until that device turns back on. Each time you press the [CH -] button, the [TV] and [CBL] (power) buttons blink once
       
  7. Once you have found the proper code, press [OK] to lock in the code
 

Code Number Readback

To identify the 4-digit setup code for your TV, follow these steps:

 

  1. Press [TV], then [OK] - hold both down until the [TV] button lights up under finger
     
  2. Press [INFO]. The illuminated button will “blink back” the code number, with a 1-second interval between each digit of the code

Note: The remote will display the number "0" as the mode buttons all quickly blinking in sequence (CBL, TV)

fav.jpg When in the interactive guide, choose "Favorite channels" from the on-screen menu. Pressing the blue FAV button on a selected channel will add it to your list of favorite channels.

When out of the interactive guide, pressing FAV will scroll through your list of favorite channels that you stored through the interactive guide.

If your converter is hooked up to an HDTV, you would use this to find the input channel it is on.

Programming Volume Control

By default, your volume/mute is controlled through your TV

 

To control volume/mute through your converter:

  1. Press [OK], then [CBL] together - hold both down until the [CBL] button lights up (under finger)
     
  2. Press [VOL +], then [CBL]. The [CBL] button will blink and go out


To control volume / mute back through your TV:

  1. Press [OK], then [CBL] together - hold both down until the [CBL] button lights up (under finger)
     
  2. Press [VOL +], then [TV]. The [CBL] button will blink and go out.
 

Your Remote's [CBL] Button

Once you have programmed the remote to operate your TV as well as your converter, you can press the [CBL] button to turn your converter and TV on and off with one button press.

 

Programming and using the [CBL] button
 

  1. Press [CBL] then [MENU] buttons together until the [CBL] button blinks two times
     
  2. The [CBL] button will now send a power signal to the cable set-top, immediately followed by a power signal to the TV with one button press
     
  3. The steps above will undo this as well
 

Installing / Replacing Batteries

Install two (2) "AAA" batteries as indicated by the diagram in the battery compartment. Be careful to properly match the "+ / -" ends of the batteries with the diagram in the battery compartment.


When the batteries become too weak to operate the remote control properly, the mode keys will become dim or not illuminate at all during use. When this happens, install 2 new "AAA" size batteries.

 

Your remote control has Memory Guard®, which eliminates reprogramming after battery changes.

 

General Reset

The remote can be reset to its factory default settings if needed.
 

  1. Press [OK], then [CBL] together until the [CBL] button lights up (under finger)
     
  2. Press [1]
     
  3. The [CBL] button will blink 3 times and go out. All codes will now be CLEARED
     
  4. Start programming your RT-M200 over again, as needed
