Champion (URC2025)

 

Program Remote by Popular Brands

Motorola/Pace/Arris and Scientific Atlanta/Cisco converters. No programming to these converters is necessary.

  1. Turn on the equipment you wish to program (TV, DVD, AUX, or AUD)
     
  2. Press the device key (TV, AUDIO, DVD) the LED will light off and on again
     
  3. Press and hold SETUP until the mode key blinks twice
     
  4. Find your device and brand from the chart below and note the DIGIT key assigned to your brand. 


    Using your number buttons, press and hold down the DIGIT key for your device/brand

  • Press POWER to confirm the remote now controls the device. If the device does not turn off, repeat steps 2-4 using the next code for your device

If your brand does not appear in the brand chart, perform setup using either the Four-Digit Code Programming or Code Search

 

Four-Digit Code Programming

  1. Turn on the equipment you wish to program (TV, DVD, AUDIO)
     
  2. Press and release the device key (TV, DVD, AUDIO)
     
  3. Press and hold SETUP until the device key (TV, DVD, AUDIO) blinks once, and then twice
     
  4. Enter 1st code for your Audio Device brand from the code list.

    Using TV key

    Using AUDIO key

    Using DVD key

    or

  5. Press POWER to confirm the remote now controls the device. If the device does not turn off, repeat steps 2-4 using the next code for your device
 

Auto Search Method

  1. Turn on the equipment you wish to operate
     
  2. Press and hold SETUP until TV, DVD, or AUDIO blinks once, then twice
     
  3. Press the the device key you wish to program (TV, DVD, AUDIO). The mode key will stay lit 
     
  4. Press and hold down the OK/SELECT key. Let go of the OK/SELECT key when your device turns off
     
  5. Press the POWER button to turn the device back on
 

Code Number Readback

Champion.png To identify the 4-digit setup code for your device, follow these steps:
 
  1. Press the device key you wish to program (TV, DVD, AUDIO). The mode key will stay lit 
     
  2. Press and hold SETUP until the device key (TV, DVD, AUDIO) blinks twice
     
  3. Press 9-9-0 on the remote. The mode key (TV, DVD, AUDIO) will blink twice
     
  4. To view first digit in your 4 digit code, press 1 and count the number of times the mode key blinks back
     
    • Press 2 and count the number of times the mode key blinks back. this is your second digit
       
    • Press 3 and count the number of times the mode key blinks back. this is your third digit
       
    • Press 4 and count the number of times the mode key blinks back. this is your fourth digit
       
      • NOTE: If a code digit is “0” the red light will not blink
         
  5. Write your device's brand & setup code for future reference
 

Programming the System On/Off Button

  1. Press [CBL]
     
  2. Press [System On/Off] and [OK/SEL] simultaneously for 3 seconds. The [CBL] button will turn on for 30 seconds
     
  3. Press [TV
     
  4. Press [DVD] (if adding)
     
  5. Press [AUD] (if adding)
     
  6. Press [AUX] (if adding)
     
  7. Press [CH (UP)] to save the power commands you stored. The [CBL] button will blink twice to confirm
 

Volume Control

Champion.png Volume and Mute control are factory programmed to the respective Device mode you select, as follows:

CBL : CBL         TV : TV            DVD : TV            AUD : AUD             AUX : AUX 

If you wish to store another device's volume control in CBL mode, use the following steps

 

  1. Press and hold SETUP until the mode key blinks twice
     
  2. Press VOLUME + key
     
  3. Press the mode key that corresponds to the device you use for volume controls
     

To restore the volume control back to your TV in CBL mode, repeat the above steps by replacing [device] with [CBL] in step 3

 

Video Input Button

This button can change the input source of your TV or other electronic device while in any mode.

  • The button can change the input source of the TV (Input 1, Input 2, Aux, Game, Video 1, Video 2, etc) - this is the preferred default
  • .. or, the button can change the input source of an audio device's input (CD, DVD, TV SOUND, etc.)
     

To program this button, follow the steps below:

 
  1. Press and hold SETUP until the mode key blinks twice
     
  2. Press VIDEO INPUT
     
  3. Press the device key that corresponds to the device you use for volume controls (TV or AUDIO)
 

Your remote's WATCH CABLE Button

Champion.png Once you have programmed the remote to operate your electronic devices, you can press the WATCH CABLE button to turn your converter and TV on and off with one button press. You can also program the WATCH CABLE button to turn off/on additional devices and/or tune your TV to it's correct output channel.


IMPORTANT:
You must first program ALL devices on your Champion (URC2025) for the WATCH CABLE button to work correctly.




Follow these steps if you wish to use an alternate device for volume control.
  1. Press and hold SETUP until the mode key blinks twice
     
  2. Press WATCH CABLE
     
  3. In the order you want the devices to turn on, press the mode key that corresponds to the device ONCE AT A TIME.

    For example:
    Press  cable.jpg, tv.jpg and the converter and TV will turn on/off in that order and puts the remote in CABLE mode.
    Press  cable.jpg, tv.jpg, audio.jpg and the converter, TV, and Audio Device will turn on/off in that order and puts the remote in CABLE mode.
    Press  tv.jpg, cable.jpg, audio.jpg and the  TV, converter, and Audio Device will turn on/off in that order and puts the remote in CABLE mode.
 

Battery Info

Champion.png Install two (2) "AA" batteries as indicated by the diagram in the battery compartment. Be careful to properly match the "+ / -" ends of the batteries with the diagram in the battery compartment.

When the battery is low, the remote control LED blinks 2 times whenever a [device] button is pressed to turn on equipment.
