Quick Set-Up Method

  1. Turn on the component you want to program
     
    • To program your TV, turn on the TV
       
  2. Press and hold the [DEVICE] key for 5 seconds until the DTA LED will blink once and stays on
     
    • Continue to hold the [DEVICE] key and press the number key assigned to your brand in the Quick Set-up Codes below and release both [DEVICE] key and the number key to save the code

      The DTA LED will blink twice to confirm that the code is stored
       
  3. Point the remote control at the component and press the power button
     
    • If it turns off, it is programmed for your component
       
    • If it does not turn off, use the Pre-Programmed 3-Digit code Method or Scanning Method
       
  4. Repeat the steps above for both components (DTA, TV) if needed
 

Pre-Programmed 3-Digit Code

  1. Turn on the Component you want to program(TV, DTA)
     
  2. Press the [DEVICE] button (TV or DTA) to be programmed and [SEL] button simultaneously for 3 seconds
     
    • The DTA LED light will turn on for 20 seconds indicating the unit is ready to be programmed
       
  3. Point the remote control toward the Component and enter the 3-digit code number assigned to your brand

    DTA-CABLE Converters

    • If the 3-digit code number you just entered is correct, the Component will turn Off
       
    • If it did not turn Off, continue entering code numbers listed for that brand until the Component turns Off
       
  4. Once you have found the correct code, save it by pressing the same [DEVICE] button one more time
     
    • The DTA LED light will blink twice to confirm that the code was sucessfully stored
 

Auto-Search Method

  1. Turn on the Component you want to program (TV, DTA)
     
  2. Press the [DEVICE] button (TV or DTA) to be programmed and [SEL] button simultaneously for 3 seconds
     
    • The DTA LED light will turn on for 20 seconds indicating the unit is ready to be
      programmed
       
  3. Point the remote toward the Component and press the [CH?] or [CH?] button one step at a time or keep it pressed
     
    • The remote will emit a series of ON/OFF commands. Release the [CH?] or [CH?] button as soon as the Component turns Off
       
  4. Once you have found the correct code, save it by pressing the same [DEVICE] button one more time
     
  5. The DTA LED light will blink twice to confirm that the code was successfully stored.
     
  6. Repeat the Auto-Search Method for those Components you could not program earlier with the PreProgrammed Method
 

Code Number Readback

  1. Press the [DEVICE] button (TV or DTA) you want to verify and the [SEL] button simultaneously for 3 seconds
     
    • The DTA LED light will turn on for 20 seconds
       
  2. Press the [INFO] button and count the number of times the DTA LED light blinks
     
    • This number indicates the first digit of the code, followed by the second and third, each separated by a one-second pause when the LED will turn off
       
    • 10 blinks represents the number zero
      • Example : 103 would be:

One blink
(pause)
Ten blinks
(pause)
Three blinks

 

Programming Volume Control

By default, the VOL+, VOL- and MUTE keys operate through your DTA. If you would like those keys to operate those functions on a TV device:

 

  1. Press the [SEL] button and [DTA] button simultaneously for 3 seconds
     
    • The DTA LED will turn on for 20 seconds
       
    • The next step must be perfomed while the LED is on
       
  2. Press the [VOL+] button
     
    • The DTA LED will blink
       
  3. Press the [TV] button that you would like the volume and mute buttons to control
     
  4. The DTA LED will blink twice to confirm the programming
     

If you wish to have the volume and mute keys operate your DTA Box, repeat these steps using the [DTA] device button in Step 3.

 

Memory Lock System

ur2_dta2.jpg This remote control is designed to retain programmed memory for 10 years even after batteries are removed from the remote control.
