Reset TiVo Remote

TiVos on Experience 3

4 Tuners, 2 Tuners, Single Tuners, and Minis on TiVo Experience 3

  1. Cover the top of the TiVo remote with your hand so that the IR signal is blocked

  2. Press the TiVo button and TV Power button together until remote light turns on

  3. Press Thumbs Down 3 times, then press Enter

  4. The light will blink 3 times and go out. If it doesn't repeat steps above
     
    • Note: press Clear on the remote at any time to start the process again
 

TiVos on Experience 4

4K 6 Tuners, 6 Tuners , 4K Minis, and Minis on TiVo Experience 4

  1. Press the TiVo button and TV Power button together until remote light turns solid red

  2. Press Thumbs Down 3 times, then press Enter

  3. The light will blink 3 times and go out; press any directional key; it automatically re-pairs in Bluetooth
     

Alternate Steps

  1. Go to TiVo Central | left arrow to Menu | Setting | Remote, CableCard & Devices | Remote Setup | Remote Control Pairing

  2. Press the TiVo and Back button
