Three-Digit Code Programming Method

Turn on the device you want to program (TV, DVD, VCR or AUX)   Press the [Device] button (TV, DVD, VCR or AUX) to be programmed and [OK/SEL] button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The device LED will light for 30 seconds indicating the unit is ready to be programmed   Point the remote control toward the device and enter the 3-digit code number assigned to your brand TV  Choose entered is correct, the device will turn Off  If it did not turn Off, continue entering code numbers listed for that brand until the Component turns Off   After you’ve entered the correct code number and the device has turned Off, press the [POWER] button to turn the device back On. Now it’s time to test the VOLUME and MUTE buttons for the TV (or PLAY and STOP buttons for VCR and DVD) to make sure they all work   If any of the functions do not work as they should, repeat from STEP 3 using the next 3-digit code number listed for that brand   Once you have found the correct 3-digit code, save it by pressing the same [Device] button one more time   The [Device] LED light will blink twice to confirm that the code was successfully stored

 

Auto Search Method

If the three-digit code numbers assigned to your brand do not turn off your equipment or the code tables do not list your brand, you can use the Auto Search Method to find the correct three-digit code number for your equipment by the following steps:   Turn on the equipment you wish to operate   Press the [Device] button and [OK/SEL] simultaneously for 3 seconds. The device LED will turn on   The device LED will light on for 30 seconds. The next step must be entered while LED is on   Press the [CH▲] or [CH▼] button one step at a time or keep it pressed. The remote will emit a series of Power ON/OFF commands. Release the [CH▲] or [CH▼] button as soon as the equipment turns off.   Verify that you selected the correct code by pressing [POWER] again. The equipment should either turn on or turn off   Press the [DEVICE] button to store the code. The Device LED will blink twice to confirm that the code has been stored

 

Code Number Readback

Press the [Device] button and [OK/SEL] simultaneously for 3 seconds   The device LED will light on for 30 seconds. The next step must be entered while LED is on   Press [INFO]. The device LED will blink number of times indicating the number of each digit of the code number   Each digit is separated by 1 second. Ten blinks is equal to the number 0 For example, 108 will be:  One blink, [one second off], ten blinks, [one second off], eight blinks

 

The Learning Method

Press the [Device] button (AUX, TV, VCR or DVD) to be programmed and the [ASPECT] buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until the Device LED light turns on   Line up the CLIKR-5 to the other remote, head-to-head, 1 or 2 inches apart   Press any button on the CLIKR-5 that you want to teach a command to. For example, if you want to teach the [MUTE] button, press the [MUTE] button   Press and hold the [MUTE] button on the other remote until the CLIKR-5 Device LED light blinks twice The LED will blink 5 times if there was an error in the learning process. In so, repeat STEPS 3 and 4. Continue learning other buttons by repeating STEPS 3 and 4   Once you have completed teaching CLIKR-5 all desired commands for that Device, save the learned commands by pressing the [Device] and [ASPECT] buttons simultaneously until the Device LED blinks 3 times. Now test all the buttons to make sure they learned correctly   Erasing a Single Learned Command Press the [Device] and [ASPECT] buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until the Device LED light turns on   Press and hold the button you want to erase for 3 seconds. The Device LED will blink twice to confirm the erasure   To exit, press and hold both the [Device] and [ASPECT] buttons simultaneously until the Device LED blinks 3 times   Erasing All Learned Commands from One Device Press the [Device] and [ASPECT] buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until the Device LED light turns on   Press and hold both the [Device] button you want to erase and the [PAUSE] button for 5 seconds. The Device LED will blink twice to confirm the erasure   To exit, press and hold both the [Device] and [ASPECT] buttons simultaneously until the Device LED blinks 3 times

 

Programming a 5th Device to AUX Button

You can take advantage of the AUX function to program a 4th Component such as a second TV, VCR, DVD or Audio Component   Turn on the equipment you wish to operate   Press [AUX] and [OK/SEL] simultaneously for 3 seconds. The device LED will turn on   The device LED will light on for 30 seconds. The next step must be entered while LED is on   Press the [Device] button you want to setup. Programming the System On/Off Button

The System on/off button can send out up to three power on/off commands for the devices you programmed into the remote control   Press [CBL]   Press [System On/Off] and [OK/SEL] simultaneously for 3 seconds. The [CBL] button will turn on for 30 seconds   Press [TV]    Press [DVD] (if adding)   Press [VCR] (if adding)   Press [AUX] (if adding)   Press [CH▲] to save the power commands you stored. The [CBL] button will blink twice to confirm

 

Programming Channel Controls

Channel controls (CH▲, CH▼, LAST, 0-9) are factory-programmed to automatically transfer to the respective Device mode you select, as follows:   CBL : CBL            TV : CBL             VCR : CBL          DVD : DVD             AUX : AUX  If you wish to store the TV channel controls in TV mode, use the following steps   Press the [OK/SEL] button and [TV] button simultaneously for three seconds. The device LED will turn on for 30 seconds. The next step must be performed while the LED is on   Press the [VOL?] button. The device LED will blink   Press [TV] button. The device LED will blink twice to confirm the programming To return TV device to CBL channel repeat steps above replacing [TV] with [CBL] in Step 3

 

Volume Control

Volume and Mute control are factory programmed to the respective Device mode you select, as follows: CBL : CBL            TV : TV            VCR : TV             DVD : TV            AUX : AUX   If you wish to store the TV volume control in CBL mode, use the following steps   Press [CBL] button and [OK/SEL] simultaneously for three seconds   The device LED will turn on for 30 seconds. The next step must be performed while the LED is on   Press the [VOL▲] button. The device LED will blink   Press [TV] button. The device LED will blink twice to confirm the programming   To restore the volume control back to your TV in CBL mode, repeat the above steps by replacing [TV] with [CBL] in Step 3

 

Macro (blank) Button

In the CABLE device mode, the two [M], [M2] buttons (see button functions below) can be programmed to act as a 'Favorite Channel' button. This allows you to program up to five 2-digit channels, four 3-digit channels or three 4-digit channels that can be accessed with one button press   Press the [CBL] button to select the CBL mode   Press the [MACRO] button and [OK/SEL] button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The [CBL] button will turn on for 20 seconds   The [MACRO] button will turn on for 30 seconds. The next step must be performed while the LED is on   Enter the the 2, 3 or 4-digit code for the channel you want programmed first (for example, 0-0-7) using the Number Pad, then press the [STOP] button. Then enter the code for the next channel (for example, 0-5-0), then press the [STOP] button. Repeat this process for the third channel. The [CBL] button will blink once for each channel entered   Press the [CH?] button to store the commands that were selected. The [CBL] button will blink twice to confirm the storage of commands   To access the programmed channels, press the [MACRO] button once. This will bring up the first channel. Press once again and it will bring up the second channel. Press again and it will bring up the third channel   To erase the Macro programming and return to the original function: Press the [CBL] button to select the CABLE mode   Press a [MACRO] button and the [OK/SEL] button simultaneously for 3 seconds   The CBL device LED will turn on for 30 seconds. The next step must be performed while the LED is on   Press the [CH▲] button to erase the functions stored in the button. The CBL button will blink twice to confirm that the memory button has been erased

 

Low Battery Warning

When the battery is low, the remote control LED blinks 2 times whenever a [DEVICE] button is pressed to turn on equipment.

 

Memory Lock

This remote control is designed to retain programmed memory for 10 years even after batteries are removed from the remote control.
